About Indian Society of Organ Transplantation

The Indian Society of Organ Transplantation was established in 1987 with a goal to provide a common forum to all involved in the transplant activity. The society initiated from CMC Vellore and its inaugural meeting was held at Institute of Kidney Disease and Research Centre, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad in 1988. The society has over 650 members which include clinicians, basic scientists and others involved in the field of transplantation.

About Indian Journal of Transplantation

Indian Journal of Transplantation is the official journal of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation with the Editorial Office situated at Department of Nephrology, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. Indian Journal of Transplantation is published quarterly in March, June, September and December by Elsevier India. Through this journal, the society aims to provide experienced insights and reviews regarding liver, kidney, bone marrow, heart and lung transplantations to the readers. The journal also provides transplant practitioners and researchers an opportunity to share valuable experience and recent views about organ transplantations with fellow medical practitioners, post graduate students, educational institutions, libraries and hospitals. Indian Journal of Transplantation is circulated to over 1000 readers in the Organ Transplant community in India and abroad.
